Affiliate Marketing Terms Every Beginner Should Know

Money Terms
RevShare — your percentage of the operator’s net gaming revenue from referred players, ideally for their lifetime. CPA — a one-time fee per qualifying depositor. Hybrid — smaller CPA plus ongoing RevShare. EPC — earnings per click, the universal currency for comparing offers. Baseline — the minimum activity a CPA player must show before the fee is confirmed.
Player Terms
FTD — first-time depositor, the key conversion event. LTV — lifetime value, what a player is worth across their whole active life. Retention — how long players keep depositing; the engine behind RevShare income. Churn — the opposite: how fast they leave.
Tracking Terms
Sub-ID — a label you attach to links so you know which page or ad produced each player. Postback (S2S) — server-to-server conversion notification, the gold standard for paid traffic. Promo code — no-link attribution for social and Telegram audiences. Cookie window — how long a click can still earn you the signup.
Contract Terms
NGR — net gaming revenue after deductions; read the deduction list. Negative carryover — whether a losing month follows you into the next one; you want no. Admin fee — the operator’s cut before your share is calculated. KPI — quality thresholds on CPA deals: minimum deposit, redeposit rate, no bonus abuse.
